Kind of a wash since she's a bigger target and tents to take more hits, but it's something. just remember that speed can get you into trouble if you use it when it isn't needed. It's a big jump up from NC, and puts her firmly at the top compared to other battleships. This is harder than it sounds, and mistakes will be punished more harshly because she is an easier broadside target than NC and when caught out of position has a harder time turned to an angle where she isn't inviting citadel hits. I'm not there yet myself skill-wise, but I understand that Iowa is all about using that excellent speed to put her in the right place at the right time and punish broadsides with those fantastic 16" freedom-dispensers. ![]() ![]() Iowa is great, and fast, and powerful, but takes a whole lot of getting used to. NC is IMO a very well-rounded ship and a joy to play, and I would not have advised selling her. Is there anything better, beside a bit more health? Edit: and speed Thanks! I'm wondering what I'm missing as far as improvements I can expect to see, going from the fully upgraded NC to the same in the Iowa. ![]() I did notice the secondaries fire a bit further and the main gun shells do just a hair more damage. Things that stand out to me which might be similar in game play to my fully upgraded NC are: still has a weak citadel if broadside, same number of main guns and secondary guns, still great AA. I have sold my NC and just now completed outfitting my Iowa with the best hull, engine, and fire control.
